Courage Is In the Things No One Ever Sees

Courage Is In the Things No One Ever Sees

Courage. It’s such a simple word, yet it seems to be so misunderstood. It seems that all too often the word evokes heroic images of persons rushing into burning buildings, rescuing the fallen and weary, train-track miracles, and the like. Yeah, let’s be honest; it’s all the things we see around us in movies, books, and TV that evoke some superhero ideal which we all want so desperately to be. Come on, who doesn’t want to be a superhero, right? Don’t get me wrong, courage does exist in heroic acts and heroes most certainly have courage. The trouble is we get…

Resolving to Live in 2015

Resolving to Live in 2015

As we draw to the end of 2014, I know I’m going to have to come up with a New Year’s resolution soon. Autumn is NOT Coming

Autumn is NOT Coming

I hate the winter. Really just hate it. So why do I live in New England? Great question. I’m not going to answer it right now. Here it is late August and nights are starting to get chilly. I’m not sure how to dress in the mornings and so layers it is. Is it just me or does this time occur earlier and earlier each year? It’s like Christmas stuff showing up in June. I don’t like it. Let me savor my summer please. Just for a little bit longer?

Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become.
